“Jamat – Al- Maut” is
a 13 minutes worth listening EP and you can play the album all over again and
again and increase the duration to xyz minutes. The band that created this
monstrous grindcore treat is known as Multinational Corporations, hailing from
Lahore, Pakistan. I extremely loved the variations of everything you heard
before hitting you back with pure package of grindcore with amazing riffs and
vocals, sounding absolutely deadly. The
EP is quick, fast and straight to the point.
“Fuck Your Patriotism”, the title itself explains the exact
answer to your brain regarding the story behind this song. It’s quick, punchy
and all the frustrations and problems a country might face is screamed out
loud. I really loved the “Shove it up your ass” reference. Next come “Jamat-Al-Maut” which means
congregation of death; a song wishing death for those people who thinks they
would fuck angels in heaven if they kill people. “Ab in madarchodo ki bari hai”
is a beautiful phrase. The fast switch to another song continues with “Stratum
Slave”, awesome groove and maintenance of breakdowns and riffs. “Advertisement
Overdose”, I love this song. I am glad I don’t watch TV at all, only football
or cricket and erotic stuffs. I loved the vocals a lot, perfectly expressed
according to what it should be done. Specially in the end “Advertisement overdose.
Watching TV comatose. Surf Excel, Lipton Tea. Chutiyap (crap). Not for me”. “LPC”,
Laund Pe Char. THE END. “White Collar Communism” , rolls in and I loved the
solos in here as it actually reflects the visualization of how white collar
guys might fuck you all day and night. “Lauray ka Marxism” . “Salaab”, which
means flood and I must say it was a big flood of anger, frustrations and some
serious song writing gift flowing all over you. The EP wraps up with “Penniless Pride”,
perfect choice for the last song. Exclusive package of everything, groove,
melody, punch, kick, sex, food, bla bla!
This band is huge, I hope they come to India soon. I hope
they sneak in India and play. I hope they tour the world. I hope they keep on writing songs the way they
do. Absolutely brilliant EP. Grindcore at its best. Lyrics are baap. If you
haven’t heard this EP, you should probably go to heaven.
